Summer Serenades Return

Please join Book, Brushes & Bands for Education for the Summer Serenade,

Thursday July 27, at 11:20 am the Midwest Youth Choir will be performing in the lobby of Hammond City Hall as a part of the 2023 Summer Serenades. Book, Brushes & Bands for Education is proud to present this a one-day free community concert tour for the students and the Hammond community. For the first time since COVID-19, Midwest Youth Choir students are performing at locations around the city, including Tri-State Automation, City Hall and WJOB radio station.

Any City of Hammond, Hammond Police Department and Hammond Fire Department employees are invited to attend the free performance at City Hall to show BBB4E's appreciation of  Hammond’s support of the arts.

The students will perform 3-4 songs totalling about 15 minutes. We hope to see you there!

The Summer Choir is also completing their season with a concert at the Hammond Marina, Thursday, Aug. 3 at 6:30 pm. This performance is free and open to the public. Fall classes begin in early October and are open to students from any zip code. Registration for Fall is OPEN NOW! The Midwest Choir looks forward to additional community performances in the future.

Books, Brushes & Bands for Education (BBB4E) greatly appreciates the ongoing support from Mayor Tom McDermott and the City of Hammond. Our work is only possible with your financial and other investments. The connections students make through art experiences are invaluable to their development. We are proud to have created these opportunities since 2000.
