Books, Brushes & Bands for Educations (BBB4E) works to ensure that students enrolled receive quality arts instruction through programs that focus on arts education, student and parent engagement, professional development, and career exploration. BBB4E programs and approach are rooted in an understanding of the impact of arts education on children and their families.

Midwest Youth Orchestra Instructor

The Midwest Youth Orchestra (MYO) is seeking an instructor who exhibits the energy and focuses to grow a music program in an underserved area.

Current students vary in age and ability. Depending on enrollment numbers, the program will consist of two or three class levels per evening: beginning orchestra, intermediate orchestra, and sometimes concert orchestra, which features experienced string and wind players. The concert orchestra is taught in conjunction with the orchestra teacher. The MYO is looking for an energetic group of instructors to collaborate in revamping and growing the program.


Midwest Youth Band Instructor

The Midwest Youth Band (MYB) seeks an instructor who exhibits energy and focuses on growing a music program in an underserved area. The program receives students from all across northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. Current students vary in age and ability. Depending on enrollment numbers, the program consists of two or three classes: beginning band, intermediate band, and sometimes a concert orchestra, which features experienced string and wind players. The concert orchestra is taught in conjunction with the orchestra teacher.


Midwest Youth Choir Level 1 Instructor

We seek a vocal arts instructor who exhibits the energy to provide early childhood arts education to children in an underserved area. The program receives students from all across northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. Level 1 of the Midwest Youth Choir students learn to sing properly with correct diction and fundamental music theory appropriate for their age. Some are building their vocabularies, which gives them more confidence to sing and present themselves on and off stage. While singing is the primary curriculum, interdisciplinary elements (movement, drawings) are encouraged for this age group.
