Books, Brushes & Bands for Education (BBB4E) is hosting the 6th annual Spring Tea fundraiser at the Halls of St. George,905 E Joliet St, Schererville, IN 46375, Sunday, April 28, 2024. Doors open at 11:45.

BBB4E’s Spring Tea will feature a family-style lunch and tea service. Guests can sip a mimosa while they participate in a cork pull, basket raffle and leave with a custom bookmark created at the event by Chicago Calligraphy Collective artists. The lions created during the Read Across Hammond week will be exhibited as well. The Billy Foster Trio will keep the afternoon moving with music between performances from the Midwest Youth Choirs.

Affordable, accessible music experiences like the Midwest Youth Choir (MYC) can be an essential part of students' social and emotional development. Students flourish as a team and build leadership skills. They develop respect for each other by learning music from different cultures.

Following COVID-19, this afternoon is vital for BBB4E to reconnect students and families to the community. Proceeds from the event support arts education programs in Northwest Indiana for students ages 5-18 (and their families) from any zip code. BBB4E programs are open to public, private, parochial, and home school students.

Sponsorships and tickets are available at BBB4E.org/events
