Summer Midwest Youth Choir Ends Season with Serenades

The Midwest Youth Choir finished their summer with an incredible concert at the Hammond Marina Thursday, Aug. 3. After the performance the students and their families enjoyed a family and friends picnic. The music continues Oct. 9 when fall choir begins at the Hammond Central High School. Under the director of Bryan Johnson BBB4E aims to create the leading youth choir in Northwest Indiana.

Thank you to Broadway Music for the sound equipment and Hammond Port Authority for use of their beautiful space on the lake shore.

Last month, July 27, the Midwest Youth Choir performed at Hammond City Hall as a part of the 2023 Summer Serenades. Book, Brushes & Bands for Education is proud to present this a one-day free community concert tour for the students and the Hammond community. For the first time since COVID-19, Midwest Youth Choir students performed at locations around the city, including Tri-State Automation, City Hall and WJOB radio station.

Any City of Hammond, Hammond Police Department and Hammond Fire Department employees were invited to attend the free performance at City Hall to show BBB4E's appreciation of Hammond’s support of the arts.
